Cathcart
Specialist technology recruitment consultancy, Cathcart, needed a rapid move to 100% cloud operations at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We supported by moving on-premises files and folders to Microsoft 365 Sharepoint Online and OneDrive for Business, and moving on-premises Microsoft Active Directory to Azure Active Directory. Using Windows Airpilot’s fully automated cloud-based laptop deployment, we were able to set up Cathcart’s teams efficiently and with minimal disruption.
Our team of experts ensured all Cathcart employees would have access to high speed internet, as well as using Microsoft cloud security for antivirus, anti-malware and threat detection.
How we help: Microsoft 365 and Azure
Impact
- Improved productivity by giving staff access to files and folders from any device, in any location.
- Connected employees, through email and Teams, improving collaboration throughout lockdowns.
- Improved IT security by safeguarding business data, with inbuilt security features for remote working.
- A more cost effective solution that can be scaled up easily as the business grows.
- Predicted 50% office space saving due to adoption of partial remote working across all staff.
- Enabled secure use of employee personally-owned devices for work use.
"At the start of lockdown, we had to move our entire workforce to working from home. We already utilised Office 365, and our business critical apps are cloud-based, but our file storage was local. We put pressure on WeDo to migrate us to Sharepoint, give all our staff VPN access and set up teams instantly, which they did very successfully."
